NOTES ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS:
At One Hand Ranch Tack Shop, our products are made from the
finest materials we can obtain.
Only premium hides and flawless leather are used.
Our hardware is selected for maximum durability and for ease of adjustment.
We use stainless steel hardware wherever possible.
Yes, we copper rivets and burrs. Yeah, they're ugly, but they're the strongest
thing we've found.
No, we don't use Chicago screws. They have a tendency to come apart
and disappear at the darndest times....like in the snow, or in deep grass,
or in the dark. Got the picture?
Single Ply - Economical, yet durable and serviceable products are made from
one thickness of leather. One side is smooth and one side is rough.
Doubled and Stitched - These products are made from two thicknesses,
or plys, of leather, which are adhesive bonded and stitched together.
They have the advantages of added strength, more uniform thickness,
and of all surfaces being smooth.
Premium Harness Leather - A leather that has been hot stuffed with waxes
and oils. Ours are selected for grain, strength, appearance, and durability.
Color tones vary somewhat. Russet tones are most common.
Premium Skirting Leather - The leather used by most saddle makers to
make most major parts of a saddle. It has a dry finish and holds its shape
better than most other leathers.
Burgundy Latigo Leather - A leather tanned to a rich burgundy color.
This leather is selected to the same criteria as our harness leathers.
While not as strong as harness leather, latigo is more pliable and has
a softer finish.
Chrome Tanned Leather - Leather tanned to earth tones of color.
While not as strong as harness leather, its wear life is excellent.
A very durable leather with pliability between that of latigo and
harness leathers.
English Bridle Leather - A premium high finish leather that has both eye
appeal and good strength. Generally tanned in darker tones, such as
chestnut or burgundy. Colors may vary.
We ship most of our leather products dry, with only a saddle soap rub.
This prevents bleeding of oils into the packaging and into other products
which may be in the same shipment. It is recommended that, before use,
leather items be given proper preservative care with suitable leather care
products. If you have any questions, please contact us and we'll be happy
to help you.
