Our pack saddles are of the Decker design. The Decker pack saddle design has proven itself over the years
for efficiency and ruggedness. These Decker pack saddles are available either single or double rigged. They are also available with standard
round arches or with combination (flat top) arches.
Only premium harness leather is used in our pack saddles. The arches are stainless steel and all of the hardware is stainless steel. The bars are
made from a molded polymer. The half breeds are covered with PVC coated nylon.

Our pack saddle kits offer you a way to completely rig or re-rig a Decker pack saddle from the tree up. These pack saddle kits contain all of the necessary leather work and hardware to completely replace the rigging on a pack saddle. The kits include rigging, hardware, latigos, britchin's, and breast collars. Due to variations in sizes and designs, they do not include girths or half breeds. We offer kits in 2 styles; single or double rigged to fit Decker pack saddles. Full instructions are included with each pack saddle kit. They require minimal tools to install.
Our half breeds are the same as those found on our pack saddles. They are intended to be a replacement for worn out or damaged half breeds. These half breeds will fit our pack saddles but, due to varying dimensions, they may, or may not fit another brand well, if at all. If you need a half breed for a pack saddle that we didn't make, please call us before ordering so that we can assure fit. We can tailor a half breed for your saddle at no additional cost. We'd rather have it fit right than sloppy.
Break yer' board? Or maybe they're just gettin' ratty? No matter! We've got
replacements. Just lace 'em in and go. If your trip is critical, it's not a
bad
idea to have spares along anyway. Our boards are 23" long. If you have a
half breed made by another maker, it may require a longer or shorter
board.
